- JOB PURPOSE / DESCRIPTION
- To initiate land acquisition for all ZESCO land-based projects, to facilitate for wayleave acquisition for all ZESCO Wayleaves countrywide and to facilitate wayleave management for all ZESCO Wayleaves.
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12 School Certificate
Vocational and Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Land Survey or equivalent
Master’s degree in any related field would be an added advantage
- EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENT
- • Minimum 5 years’ experience
- JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Prepare and review wayleave drawings for planning and implementation purposes for Surveyors and Engineers implementation of wayleave procedures and standards
Research on new trends in the field, for recommendations for implementation
Conduct inductions for ZESCO Engineers & SDP inductees
Technical challenges are attended to and escalated for solutions
Periodic Management of Performance Assessments (weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually)
Facilitate land acquisition process for the construction of ZESCO power stations, substations and associated infrastructure
Acquire wayleave consents for transmission and distribution lines with due regard to environmental and social requirements and coordinate with the Planning and Survey departments
Liaising with Legal, Safety and Security Departments on Wayleave Management
Manage periodical inspections of wayleaves to avert encroachments and participate in annual wayleaves maintenance activities
Document wayleaves site plans and drawings for planning and implementation purposes
Facilitate numbering of ZESCO wayleaves
Any other duties lawfully assigned by the Supervisor
